Odd sending behaviour

I've just tried to send an email from Gemini (2.29f) which consisted of 925k
of text. This isn't huge by today's standards but Gemini couldn't deal with
it. It just stuck with the hourglass running for about 10 minutes taking up
99% of the CPU time. Eventually I had to kill Gemini and tried again, but
exactly the same thing happened. Messenger Pro (an old version) and Hermes
sent the message within seconds from my Iyonix.

OK, it's an old version of Gemini but surely it should be able to cope with
925k? There was at least 2GB free in the machine at the time.
