MessangerPro and the Mac iCloud

Apple is thrusting down our throats their iCloud.  In principle this can
enable Mac Users to move from desktop to portable to iPhone and iPad and
work on the same centrally held files on each.  I am reasonably certain
this applies also to e-mails.

What I wonder if this might be done with the Mac version of
MessengerPro?  Might it be possible to tell MPro to store files on
iCloud, not only sent and received mails and news but also the MPro
rules and filters?  Then I could use either MPro on my Mac desktop or on
my Mac Portable and they would be kept in step with one another.

My only misgiving with all this is that iCloud might have a catastrophic
failure and lose some of my stuff.  So there would have to be a facility
to maintain a copy of all the files on the local backup Network Server.

Or is this infeasible?
