Distribution Lists

It took me an hour to resolve the problem of why the list I had created
could not be used.  It was that it had to have an alias before it could
be placed in the Send box and the file picked up.

The first questions is why is an alias needed?  If it is needed, could
it say so in the manual please?

Then it was a drag doing all the copying and pasting from the address
book to assemble the list into a file.  What would be nice, for me at
least, is to have an option when making a Contact into a Distrbution
List that:
  
  1. A list of all contacts is put up to view.

  2. Each contact has a tick box beside it.

  3. Each ticked Contact is then put into the file that has been
     specified.

Anyone else of a similar view?
