Missing folders...

Using MessengerPro v2.71.13687 on LinixMint v13.0 Maya

I created a folder with many (in excess of 50) subfolders to archive my
old messages. and the main folder is displayed under local folders.  Well,
it was until today. It is no longer no longer visible and I cannot find
it..

Is anyone able to suggest what may have happened?  Where I might find
them?
