ctrl+x

I have now experienced several times a problem when using the keyboard 
shortcuts ctrl+x followed by ctrl+v. The computer completely freezes, 
the only recourse is to close down and re-boot and, of course, the 
item in the process of being written is lost, causing much tearing of 
hair and frustration.

It doesn't happen with ctrl+c followed by ctrl+v

I am running RISC OS 5.2 on a Panda machine.

Is this a known problem, of which I should have heard?
