bug about nonsense character and £; Adjust-click suggestion
I want to email about 10 people. In each case the body of the message
is identical, and only the "To" field differs. I want these to appear
as individual emails, so I am not using the CC or BCC fields.
I sent the message to the first person, highlighted it in my Sent
folder and did Shift-Q to "resend" it, changed the To field, and
clicked Send.
Repeated this process on the result when it appeared in the Sent
folder.
Problem: The body of the message contains a couple of pound signs
(£), and the Resend routine each time prefixed a nonsense character
(Â) to the £. By the time I had reiterated the resend routine 10
times, the message had a long string of nonsense  characters.
Luckily I noticed the snag while all of them were still in the
outgoing queue and could be killed.
A bug in MPro 7.08, I suggest.
Leads to a suggestion: I have often wished that ADJUST-click on the
Send button would act in the usual RiscOS manner: do the action but
keep the dialogue open. (*) The user could then alter the To line or
the body of the email or whatever, and click Send again.
(* Some sort of confirmation sound or message, even just a visual
change of the button, at this point would be good. That's a separate
suggestion I raised previously, which would be particularly useful in
this do-it-again situation.)
