It surely helps to SNIP! Be sure your PC-using correspondent does not
have to scroll to see that your reply exists. Quote only brief
relevant bits, just enough to give context.
One of the nice things in MPro is that if you highlight a bit of text
in the received message and then click Reply, only that highlighted
bit gets quoted. That's even simpler than snipping.
When Microsoft brought email to hoi polloi, they trampled (as in so
many other areas) on the long-established practice of interleaved
quoting that the original academic users of email had always followed.
WHY does everybody emailing grandma now think they have to quote back
the entirety of grandma's previous message? SO annoying. Thank
Microsoft.
