Dunno whether this will help at all as it applies to smtp.ntlworld.com
which came with my Broadband connection just as Virgin were taking over
NTLworld.
PINGing shows smtp.ntlworld.com as 62.254.26.221 and smtp.virginmedia.com
as 62.254.26.219.
I normally have Hermes set to use a server appropriate to whichever
mailbox I am sending from, but I have just sent a test message through
smtp.ntlworld.com and it went out OK and arrived in my other mailbox OK.
My settings for that server are Port 25 and the same password that has
worked for a long time.
MPro8.01 and NetFetch/Hermes 5.05.
