Not easily. Messenger is a plain text mail client.

Mainstream mail clients will display the html part if there is one,
otherwise they display plain text. You may or may not be able to set the
default for outgoing messages to plain text.
I guess you could reply by quitting your transport layer e.g. POPstar,
editing the html source, posting it and then editing the queued message to
change the content-type to text/html. Finally restart the transport layer
to send the message. It will be messy!
