Oddities

I recently got a Seagate Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive for my 
Macbook Pro.  I notice occasionally that MessengerPro 2.70 occasionally 
tells me it cannot write to the identies file.

I've checked permissions.  I don't have other apps complaining about 
things like this, but I'm wondering if this SSHD is doing something 
"odd" in the background that is confusing Gemini?  Does anyone have any 
ideas?
