Severe slowing down of Messenger Pro 2.70.0.3840
I have been experiencing seizing up of MPro. It occurs, apparently when
I have a CCTV camera spewing out warning messages when people walk
through the entrance to our pad. Each of these messages is detected by
motion detector software. The detection is around 75% of motion and 25%
of no apparent motion. Each e-mail contain one or two images. Each
image is of 3 MPixels and occupies around 606 kBytes (this gives the
necessary high definition for facial recognition). Each message is
filtered to a CCTV folder.
When there are 50 or more of these messages Messenger Pro seizes up,
shows the bouncing ball of death, and completely fails to respond.
The easy way to get Messenger going again is to delete all the warnings
and immediately it becomes usable once more.
Anyone got any views on how to prevent this seizing up?
Version: 2.70.0.3840 of 22 Sep 2012, which seems to be the latest
version.
