In our case, this happens when the message has been deleted/moved by
another user - if I log on as admin in order to move an
erroneously-filtered message from one folder into another, when I log on
again as myself it will keep on showing up for me as 'unread' (but
disappearing when the folder is opened and the index, presumably, is
actually scanned) until another message arrives in that folder.
