Yes.  Repeatedly.  ("Display > Save > Settings to group choices" and 
also from the "Edit group settings" dialog using its Save button).

I copied the relevant lines from that file to a blank file, then 
compared after saving my revised settings.  But I can't spot which 
term represents the setting I'm investigating.  Does anybody know the 
meaning of all the gobbledygook in each line of this Groups file?

Judging by its datestamp the Groups file is not saved immediately upon 
changing a setting, and doesn't even seem to be saved upon quitting 
MPro, but only when MPro *reloads*.
