Re-Importing Messages

Could some kind soul remind me how to re-import messages into an 
archive folder?
After a major crash with MPro some months back which caused all sorts 
of mayhem with my files,  I still have some archived folders that have 
'gone missing'. By that I mean the folder no longer exists in the 
archive groups list but the data is all there in !NewsDir. I wish to 
recreate the archive group but can't recall how to do it.
