No. I didn't know there was such a thing in Ro 5. I do see the
tickbox for UTF8 in MPro "Choices > Message editing" but it is not
ticked; nor is there anything about UTF8 in the helpfile.

Where would this OS setting be found?
Must oook up UTF8 to see what it actually is.
Meanwhile, Andrew R has responded that the Unicode problem in MPro is
already logged. He says that MPro now converts everything Ascii 128+
to Unicode (even the 128-255 range) to be consistent. "EmailEdit isn't
unicode-aware, but Mpro is. The copy/paste routines in 7.08 didn't
de-unicode them."
