The "From:" address can be set for any group so also check (from group 
window): Display > Edit choices... > Send > From header
if you have used this facility, otherwise it defaults to the user's 
first email address in (from icon bar):
Choices... > User management > (select user) > Edit... > E-mail 
address

You should be able to fix this without having to delve into !NewsDir.
