Can anyone using RISC OS M/Pro see an e-acute between these brackets? [é]

Or how about a non breaking space here? [ ]

What about an ampersand here? [&]

This email is HTML only and Messenger Pro displays it as plain text by an inbuilt routine which strips out HTML tags. For me, the routine copes with the ampersand but fails to show the e-acute (and any accented Latin characters) and the non breaking space.

If I display this email in DejaVu (the outline font R-Comp recommended with the distribution of MPro 7.08), accented characters appear as question marks in black diamonds. With older fonts, they are simply not shown at all.
