For myself anyway, I'd find the feature so handy that I'd be happy
enough without worrying about any possible future move. For me, the
first chore is far more common -- almost daily -- than the second.
Anyway, a move, possibly years later, would depend on the user's
memory that MPro is pointing to an established location, unless the
MPro routine were a lot more complicated and kept records or whatever.
As for aliases (there are probably other names for them), I think a
couple of RiscOS utilities *do* exist for this purpose -- e.g. !Links
by Gavin Wraith. I often just make an obeyfile to *filer_opendir the
new location.
