Found part of the answer to that: saving a normal email out of Messenger
labels it 'message[number]/eml', but its filetype is set as &B86. Saving
the 'Re...' attachment from the difficult email gives it filetype Obey.
When I change this to &B86 and give it back to Messenger the whole email
is shown with its two blocks of code.
