Webhost for one of my domains is Xencentric (= Neil Spellings), and mail
arriving here from that server sometimes has the tag "{Disabled}" prefixed
to the subject line.
I presume that means the server has defanged any beacons (such as you
quote above) in the HTML part of the message. But I haven't read up on
this, and nor do I know whether I needed to switch the feature on or off.
Anyway, it underlines the point that lots of people object to being spied
on.
