Downloading libffi5 worked for me :-

https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/i386/libffi5/download

Downloading libffi5 did not overwrite libffi6, Synaptic shows them both
present.

This reply is from Messenger Pro 2.71.2 on 32bit SolydX 2014.05 running
within VMware Fusion on an iMac.
