Why not just change the 'Name' in the Configure > Mailinglist > Edit...
dialogue? The underlying 'Folder' remains the same, but the name which
you see in the Groups window changes. Filters need not be altered.

No idea. If it's empty you could delete it. If not, you could export its
contents to the appropriate folder.
