It sounds as if something has started trying to use the "new" font
encodings: AIUI, the file should be IntMetric0 and not IntMetrics, as the
latter is for "symbol" fonts under "recent" font managers.

I've no idea why it's suddenly become an issue, however. By "new" and
"recent", we're talking post-1990s stuff here.

That's because Messenger Pro's email editor (EmailEdit) is a separate
application from Messenger Pro itself, and has its own configuration with
font settings.
