Thanks, Jeremy, and to druck. I was going to do just that in reply to
druck when your email arrived. druck's setup is clearly different from
mine.

I have two relevant files in Messenger.Resoucces:

PlaySample:

<Messenger$Dir>.Resources.FPlay -armadeus -file %*0

and PlaySamplePlayit:

Unset PlayIt$Error
if "<PlayIt$Path>" = "" then set PlayIt$Error "Playit not found"
if "<PlayIt$Error>" = "" then RMEnsure PlayIt 1.68 Run PlayIt:Ensure -e
1.68
if "<PlayIt$Error>" = "" then playit_play %*0 else
<Messenger$Dir>.Resources.FPlay -armadeus -file %*0

I also have utility called FPlay which is Greek to me.

I have a feeling that my ignorance is going to make it impossible for me
to change the chime on arrival sound, but with advice I'll be happy to
keep trying.

Best wishes,

Peter.
