Save settings could be improved

Save settings for the Main groups window does not save the status of the 
expandable items.

See this before:-

Save settings, close window and open it gives

I then need to faff about with clicks on tiny targets to restore the 
expanded list.


You could argue it is a feature rather than a bug but whatever, it is 
certainly a pain. I have been doing this several times a day for years and 
years. Multiply this by all the users of Messenger and it amounts to a lot 
of wasted time.
