Major lock-up with Mess Pro!
Just a warning about a major crash we had with MP yesterday. It doesn't seem
to matter which version (from 2.69.2 onwards) you are using as re-installing
different versions doesn't clear the problem.
Basically the whole program froze with continuous hour-glassing (for 40
minutes or more) as soon as the mouse was clicked anywhere within the main
window (including the menu bar). The title bar reported Not Responding.
It was possible to close down by clicking the red X but this brought up the
usual warnings.
Upon restarting the program the same thing happened again. I also happened
again after the computer (Win XP SP3) was restarted.
The solution (well it worked for us) was to rename the Groups folder (add an
X) within Documents and Settings>(User)>Local Settings>Application
Data>intellegit>gemini (with the program not running - obviously).
Now restart MPro which should come up with no data within it and work
normally.
Once again quit MPro and then delete the new Groups folder that it has
created. Now rename GroupsX (or whatever) back to Groups.
Now, ehen re-run, the program should be fine and all your emails, address
book and groups should be present once again.
I sincerely hope you don't experience this problem but if you do the above
may be the solution.
