Yes, understood, hence the risk of sending to an obsolete address when 
using a distribution list.

That would indeed avoid the problem. Presumably one could just copy 
each name from the Name field in the address book to the Alias field, 
which is easy enough with recent version of RISC OS that allow 
copy-and-paste in writable icons. Or use !CSVamp to do that 
automatically on the whole address file (having first created a 
backup).

But replacing all the actual addresses in the distribution lists would 
be rather more work.
